Almardon House Terms add Conditions

Contract

The contract is for a short-term holiday rental of Almardon Leny Road Callander FK17 8AJ made between the client and the owner of the property, Margaret Cameron, binding from such time that booking is made and inclusive of all the following conditions.

By making a booking the client contracts on behalf of himself/herself and all those in his/her party and represents that he/she has the authority to accept these conditions on behalf of and binding upon all guests in his/her party.

Bookings are accepted on the understanding that the property is taken for holiday purposes only and that, excepting babies, the number of people in each property is limited to that entered on the booking form.

The client and any friends or family of the client visiting the property while the client is staying there must adhere to the conditions of the contract, including the rules and procedures contained in the information folder provided in the property. If inviting friends to visit the client must first seek the permission of the owners.

Length of Stay

The minimum length of stay at all times is 3 nights and the maximum length of stay is 27 nights.

During the Summer months the minimum length of stay is 7 nights as indicated on our booking calander and online booking feature. Please refer to our booking page for prices and availability dates.

Payment Terms

The full cost of the booking must be made at the time the booking request is sent. We accept GB £s only. We accept payments via Paypal and Debit and Credit Cards via the Paypal processing system.

Cancellations

If we have to cancell your booking for any reason we will refund all of your monies in total.

If a client cancels a booking then the following terms will apply:

If the cancellation is requested more than 30 days before your arrival date then all monies paid will be refunded to you
If the cancellation is requested between 30 days and 14 days before your arrival date then 50% of any monies paid will be refunded to you
If a cancellation request is made with less than 14 days before your arrival date then we reserve the right to withhold all monies paid by you

Refunds will be made to the card or Paypal account you used to make the booking.

Arrival and Departure

The property is available from 15.00 hours on your day of arrival and the latest time of arrival is 22.00 hours.

The arrival time should be arranged in advance. The client should arrange an estimated time with the owner and inform them of any changes to that time to ensure somebody is available to show the client into the property.

On your day of departure we request that clents vacate the property by 10.00 hours to ensure we have sufficient time to service the property for the next guests arriving.

Care of the Property

Clients must ensure that the property is locked and secured when left unattended

The client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair, condition, cleanliness and tidiness as at the commencement of the rental period.

Breakages or Damage

The client is required to inform the owner immediately and not wait until the day of departure of any damage or breakage in or around the property so that it can be repaired and replaced for the next client. The client is bound to reimburse the owners for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs where reasonably demanded by the owners for damage caused by the client.

Children

We welcome children at Almardon and have a secure garden to play in. Children will be counted as part of the maximum number of occupants namely six persons. We can however accept an additional infant under 2 years old and are able to supply a cot and high chair for infants. We do not supply bedding for infants so clients must bring bedding for the cot.

Pets

We welcome a well behaved dog at Almardon if booked in advance. We do not charge extra for dogs to stay nor do we charge extra for cleaning the property provided that the conditions for dogs are observed:

Clients must bring bedding for their dog and any other items needed for sleeping
Dogs are not permitted on the furniture or the beds
Dogs must never be left unnattended in the property if clients go out.
The client is responsible for any damage howsoever caused by their dog and liable to reimburse the owner for any replacement or repair thereby necessitated.
The owners reserve the right to terminate the contract if the behaviour of the client's dog is considered unacceptable.

Smoking

In accordance with the Law of Scotland smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere inside the holiday accommodation. If guests smoke or vape in the property we reserve the right to terminate the contract with immediate affect and charge for an additional cleaning fee.

Smoking is permitted in the garden but please use the ashtrays provide and clear away any mess.

Liability

We advise that cleints always have travel insurance to cover loss or damage to their property whilst staying at Almardon, and should also cover injury and cancellations for their whole vacation.

The owner is not liable for any loss or damage to any client's property or any property belonging to a member of the client's party howsoever caused.

The client or members of his/her party cannot hold the owner liable for any personal injury/death howsoever sustained where the owners and/or their employees have used reasonable skill and care; and/or where caused by the fault of the person(s) affected or any member(s) of their party (including inadequate supervision of children); and/or where caused by the fault of a third party, and/or where caused by an event that could not have been reasonably foreseen or avoided.
